So Maya turned one last weekend. We invited some close family and friends over to my mom's house for a little party. Maya was really happy the entire day and gave us lots of adorable smiles for the camera (and some cheesy ones, too). We made a giant cupcake for her to have fun with- she just wanted to eat all of the frosting off the top :)
Here are some new things this month:
* Goes and finds a baby doll when asked "Where's you baby?"
* Still loves to cuddle and tucks her little arms in when being held
* Has taken a few steps by herself; she's still a little unsure about walking alone though
* Maya is a loud little girl. She screams and squeals and laughs and talks all day long.
* Within the past week or so, she's been really good about going to bed and going down for naps (no crying at all) :)
* She pretty much weaned herself off bottles this month. We gradually decreased the number of bottles we gave her during the day and before bed- she had no problem with it and prefers to drink out of a sippy cup. She also prefers whole milk to formula (who wouldn't?!)
* Puts phones up to her ear (and anything else that resembles a phone- camera, remote, etc.) and pretends to talk on the phone
* Combs her hair (she's actually been doing this for a couple of months)
* Maya came up with a cheesy smile. She gives us this smile with a little giggle, all the time!! We love it.
